Understanding Med 2

What is Med 2?

Med 2 is an Irish tax relief form that lets you claim back 20% of qualifying dental expenses.

Who can claim?

Anyone who pays Irish income tax (PAYE or self-assessed) can claim relief on their own treatment or treatment they pay for on behalf of family members.

What treatments qualify?

Most dental treatments qualify including Invisalign, veneers, and composite bonding. Teeth whitening does NOT qualify.

How do I claim?

SmileAgent generates your Med 2 form automatically. After treatment, your dentist signs it digitally, and you submit it to Revenue via myAccount.
